Like many old towns, Basel has its own set of legends and tales of haunted places. Some of the stories are deeply embedded in the cloth of the city history others tell just very creepy tales of murder, monsters and misfortune. As we follow the traces of the supernatural through the night we meet old glittering ladies, heretics, brave tanners, and many otherworldly creatures doing their evil deeds. If you’re (un)lucky, you might even see or hear the Ghost of the Minster or the Monster of Spalenberg.
Note: this tour is only available on request, since it is a special tour. We will meet at nightfall and then walk for 1.5 – 2hrs through the city. Meeting place: on the balcony (Pfalz) of the Minster (next to the flag pole).
